Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer (Contract)

Location: Enfield, North London (Hybrid)
Contract: 4-6 Months
Rate: Up to £45 per hour LTD
Start Date: 1st August 2026

The Opportunity

Linked Engineering is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to support the delivery of a high-end residential conversion in Enfield.

The project involves the refurbishment and conversion of a Grade II Listed building into 14 luxury apartments.

The existing design has been completed, however the successful contractor will play a key role in reviewing and refining the design before supporting the project through construction. This is a hands-on delivery role, working closely with both the design and site teams to ensure the project is delivered successfully.

This is expected to be an initial 4-6 month contract, with the possibility of further work beyond this project.

The Role

You will be responsible for taking the mechanical design from RIBA Stage 4C through Stage 5, supporting construction and resolving technical issues as they arise.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
