Senior Mechanical Engineer – Nuclear Projects, Mechanical & Electrical Capability Team

Our Nuclear business continues to grow, supported by strong momentum across the UK’s nuclear renaissance. As part of this expansion, our Mechanical and Electrical Capability is seeking Senior Mechanical Engineers to join us across design, project, and site-based roles. Your Role
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
- Apply your technical expertise to contribute meaningfully to innovative nuclear industry projects
- Influence outcomes by delivering thoughtful, high-quality engineering solutions
- Bring your experience—or awareness of engineering practices within safety-regulated environments—into practical application
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery
- Contribute to a range of specialisms, including:
- Mechanical handling
- Large-scale diesel equipment
- Turbine generators and associated balance-of-plant systems
- Mechanical and electrical layouts
- Installation and engineering delivery
- Grow your skills and confidence while working in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment

About You
We are looking for individuals who are motivated, capable, and eager to make a meaningful contribution. If these qualities resonate with you, consider:
- Chartered or Incorporated Membership of a recognised professional engineering institution
- Experience (or strong awareness) of engineering practices in safety-regulated industries
- Ability to apply technical expertise to influence outcomes and deliver effective solutions
- Exposure to or interest in areas like:
- Mechanical handling
- Diesel equipment
- Layouts and installation
- A collaborative and inclusive approach, with the confidence to contribute ideas and work effectively with others
- A proactive mindset, with a genuine interest in continuous learning, development, and making a positive impact
