£60,000–£65,000 + Share Options

Are you a hands-on Mechanical Engineer looking to take ownership of cutting-edge hardware products within a fast-growing technology business?

We're partnering with an innovative, venture-backed engineering company developing advanced spatial intelligence and sensing technology used to capture and understand real-world environments. With significant funding secured and ambitious growth plans ahead, they're looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in evolving their flagship product and scaling hardware operations.

The Opportunity

This is a highly visible role where you'll take ownership of mechanical engineering activities across the full product lifecycle—from concept design and prototyping through to manufacturing, production scaling and deployment.

Working alongside multidisciplinary software, robotics and electronics teams, you'll help shape the next generation of sophisticated hardware products used in industrial and infrastructure environments.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead mechanical design activities for existing and future hardware products
  • Design complex assemblies using SolidWorks (3DEXPERIENCE experience beneficial)
  • Drive improvements in product performance, reliability and manufacturability
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes
  • Manage BOMs, inventory processes and operational tooling
  • Coordinate suppliers, manufacturing partners and procurement activities
  • Support global supply chain and logistics operations
  • Conduct mechanical validation, testing and thermal assessments
  • Lead compliance and certification activities including CE, FCC and UKCA requirements
  • Build and test prototypes and support small-batch production runs
  • Collaborate closely with software, robotics and electronics engineers on integrated hardware solutions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
