Job Description
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will own hardware subsystems end-to-end, from early concept through to production. Working in a multidisciplinary team of ex-Dyson engineers, you’ll solve complex challenges in fluidics, optics, and precision motion. This is a high-impact, on-site role at the intersection of hardware and life-saving biology.

What You Will Do
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex hardware subsystems, integrating precision optics, fluidics, and motion control into robust, indestructible devices.
- Iterate on existing proof-of-concept features to improve reliability and robustness, ensuring machines perform with high precision in tandem with electronics and firmware.
- Refine manufacturing and quality processes, utilizing techniques like injection molding, CNC machining, and sheet metal fabrication to move from prototype to production.
The ideal candidate
- Has a proven track record of shipping complex electro-mechanical products to market, ideally within lab automation, medical devices, or the biotech industry.
- Demonstrates deep technical expertise in mechanical design for reliability and manufacture, including experience with fluidics, sealing, and precision liquid paths.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment and possesses the independence to make critical design calls while collaborating closely with software and firmware teams.
