NavLive

NavLive is a spin-out from the University of Oxford, backed by award-winning technology and algorithms. We are developing real-time spatial AI solutions for the construction and geospatial industries.

We use real-time multi-sensor fusion and high-precision positioning technology to build 3D models of indoor and outdoor environments in real-time. Our tech can infer what has changed and provide insights to facility owners or site decision-makers. We want to recruit a senior mechanical engineer to help us develop our products and scale our operations with partners in the above-mentioned sectors.

Are you interested in joining a rapidly growing start-up to develop advanced technology which will revolutionise how companies monitor their assets, make decisions and measure the real world?

Tasks

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer at NavLive, you will be responsible for many facets of the physical delivery of our product: from concept, design, build, scaling and delivery.

Your role as a Senior Mechanical Engineer will involve:

  • Leading Mechanical Design: Ownership of all future hardware New Product Innovation and Development (NPI/NPD), driving complex geometry design and hardware integration from concept to production.
  • Managing Hardware Operations: Overseeing end-to-end operations including Bill of Materials (BOM) management, inventory reconciliation, and the design of custom operational tools.
  • Supply Chain & Logistics: Managing global supply chain logistics, procurement, and navigating international shipping regulations.
  • System Simulation: Conducting mechanical validation and thermal simulations for high-performance compute modules.
  • Product Certification: Leading compliance and certification processes for global markets, specifically CE, FCC, UKCA and other markets.
  • Scaling Production: Transitioning hardware operations from small-batch manufacturing into a professional, high-yield production environment.
  • Mentorship: Leading and mentoring a growing multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Small Batch Prototyping and Production: Building small-batch prototypes or production units and conducting factory acceptance tests when needed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
