Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Manchester. This is a key role within the team, focused on delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects, while supporting junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of the team.

Located close to Manchester’s Spinningfields cultural hub, our office in the Trinity building offers an ideal place from which to make the most of this vibrant area. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver mechanical design for building services projects from concept through to completion
- Support project leads in ensuring technical excellence, budget control, and timely delivery
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Prepare and review design calculations, specifications, and drawings
- Contribute to sustainable and low-carbon design solutions in line with industry best practice
- Assist with client engagement and support business development activities where appropriate
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and quality procedures
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status (or recently achieved)
- Experience within a building services consultancy environment
- Proven experience contributing to the delivery of projects
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards
- Experience across a range of sectors (commercial, residential, healthcare, etc.)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
