Senior Mechanical Project Manager | £65,000 | Hybrid - Grantham Office
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of mechanical building services projects nationwide, with a strong emphasis on heating and ventilation systems. The role involves managing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring that quality, programme, and financial targets are achieved.
Working closely with clients, site teams, and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering projects to the highest standards and supporting continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of multiple mechanical projects across the UK
- Manage heating and ventilation installations from design review through to commissioning
- Coordinate project teams including engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Develop and manage project programmes, identifying and mitigating risks
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Monitor project costs, ensuring effective budget control and forecasting
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee procurement of materials and subcontract services
- Provide regular project updates and reports to senior stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior team members

Essential Requirements
Key Requirements / Skills
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within building services or MEP contracting
- Strong technical knowledge of heating and ventilation systems
- Experience managing projects from inception to completion
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Strong commercial awareness and cost management experience
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Good understanding of UK health and safety standards
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Requirements
- Relevant qualification in mechanical or building services engineering
- Experience delivering projects on a nationwide basis
- Knowledge of wider mechanical services such as plumbing or air conditioning
- Professional membership such as CIBSE or similar
