Senior Media Executive

About The Specialist Works

The world is obsessed with small start-ups or the largest corporates. Most UK media agencies are built to serve the top 100 spending clients, with a multitude of boutique agencies serving start-ups. The Specialist Works stands out.

We cater exclusively to marketers at entrepreneurial brands—businesses past the messy start-up stage but far from the slow-paced nature of large corporates. Our clients span:

  • Large privately owned businesses (often backed by PE, founder-led, or both)
  • Small to mid-cap public enterprises

These clients face fierce competition from larger, established players and know they must think and behave differently to win. They don’t conform to category norms.

Since they can’t out-spend their competition, disruption is their best strategy. The marketers leading these brands are: ✅ Innovative ✅ Resourceful ✅ Fast-paced ✅ In growth mode

Driving transformation at their core: redefining categories, acquiring competitors, and reshaping consumer behaviour.

What unites our clients? Three shared yet thrilling challenges:

  • Consumer: Client success hinges on customer acquisition.
  • Company: They are highly ambitious yet lean.
  • Category: Outspent by rivals, they must outmanoeuvre competition through disruption.

Role Overview: Senior Exec (Out-of-Home & Print Media)

We seek a dynamic and results-driven Senior Exec to join our Out-of-Home (OOH) and Print Media team. This role offers a mid-level professional the opportunity to:

  • Take ownership of OOH and Print campaigns
  • Lead integrated multi-channel media strategies (primarily OOH, with ~20% Print focus)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Media planning, buying, and campaign management for OOH (highways, rail, underground)
  • Campaigns for Print Media (direct mail, newspapers, magazines, inserts)
  • End-to-end oversight: on-time delivery, budget adherence, and performance hit rates

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
