Senior Media Executive
About The Group
The world is obsessed by small start-ups or the largest corporates. Most UK media agencies are built to serve the top 100 spending clients, and there are numerous boutique agencies for those starting out in business. The Specialist Works is different. We focus exclusively on marketers at entrepreneurial brands—businesses beyond the messy startup stage but far from large corporate slowness.
Our clients include large privately owned businesses (often PE-backed, founder-led, or both) and small to mid-cap public enterprises. They battle larger competitors and need to disrupt to win. Many don’t conform to category norms: innovative, ambitiously lean, and hyper-focused on growth. They alter consumer behaviour, overtake established players, and redefine industries.
Our clients face three core challenges, all prime for disruption:
- Consumer: Customer acquisition is critical.
- Company: Lean and aggressive growth drives everything.
- Category: Underspent, underdog brands outmanoeuvre incumbents.
Senior Exec Role: Out-of-Home & Print Media
We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Exec to join our Out-of-Home (OOH) and Print Media team—a chance to build integrated multi-channel campaigns, led by hands-on OOH with Print as a key complement (approx. 80/20 split).
As a results-driven specialist, you’ll:
- Own and execute OOH campaigns (roadside, rail, underground, etc.).
- Plan and manage Print campaigns (data-driven direct mail, magazines, newspapers, inserts).
- Align offline media with wider cross-channel strategies.
- Deliver campaigns on time, within budget, and with measurable impact—evaluating data to optimise performance.
This role demands a media planning and buying expert who thrives in an innovative, fast-moving agency environment, leveraging industry insights to redefine client success through OOH and Print excellence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
