About the Role

Shape the Future of Critical Care

Our client is driven by a shared purpose: improving patient outcomes through innovation, scientific excellence, and meaningful partnerships across healthcare.

We are looking for an experienced and influential Senior Medical Affairs professional to lead our global Medical Affairs function and help shape the future of our critical care portfolio worldwide.

This is a highly visible leadership role for a medically credible, commercially aware, and globally minded professional who thrives at the intersection of science, strategy, and collaboration.

Reporting to the Vice President, Medical Affairs, you will serve as a key scientific leader within the organisation, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, supporting innovation and product launches, and ensuring scientific integrity across all medical and commercial activities.


Your Responsibilities

Lead Global Medical Affairs Strategy

  • Drive scientific and medical excellence across global markets
  • Provide strategic medical input into product lifecycle planning, launches, and business development opportunities
  • Ensure promotional and scientific materials meet the highest ethical, medical, and compliance standards worldwide

Be the Scientific Voice of the Organisation

  • Represent our client at international congresses, scientific meetings, and industry forums
  • Build trusted relationships with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and medical societies
  • Deliver impactful scientific presentations and educational initiatives

Collaborate Across the Business

  • Partner closely with Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Pharmacovigilance, Quality, and Business Development teams
  • Support clinical development activities and contribute to clinical trial initiatives
  • Help shape future innovations and long-term medical strategy

Inspire and Develop Teams

  • Lead and mentor a global Medical Affairs team, including Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) and Medical Information professionals
  • Foster a collaborative, patient-focused, and scientifically rigorous culture

Your Background

We’re looking for the following:

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree with active licence to practice, preferred
  • PhD candidates with significant Medical Affairs leadership experience are also encouraged to apply

Experience & Skills

  • Significant experience within Medical Affairs leadership in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Strong scientific credibility and ability to influence internally and externally
  • Experience engaging with KOLs, academic institutions, and healthcare professionals globally
  • A track record of cross-functional collaboration and people leadership
  • Confidence presenting at international scientific meetings and conferences
  • Experience supporting or leading clinical research and clinical trials
