About The Role
The Senior Medical Director, Global Medical Affairs leads the global medical strategy for Ipsen’s Neurosciences portfolio with a primary focus on the launch and lifecycle management of the Migraine indication.
You will provide senior medical leadership, scientific expertise and strategic direction to ensure successful product launch, evidence generation and external engagement. And serve as the principal medical expert for Migraine, shaping Ipsen’s position in the therapeutic area and driving cross-functional alignment to achieve business and patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
Medical Strategy & Evidence Generation
Lead the development and execution of the global medical strategy for Migraine, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and launch excellence. Oversee the design and implementation of clinical and real-world evidence generation plans specific to Migraine, including pivotal trials, registries, and investigator-initiated/sponsored studies. Ensure robust scientific communication of Migraine data to internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Chair cross-functional launch teams for Migraine, collaborating with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, and R&D. Drive the development of medical education, publication planning, and KOL engagement strategies tailored to Migraine.
External Engagement & Thought Leadership
Represent Ipsen at international Migraine congresses, advisory boards, and scientific forums. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with global Migraine experts, academic institutions, and patient advocacy groups.

Lifecycle Management & Launch Excellence
Provide senior medical input into lifecycle management and post-launch activities for Migraine. Anticipate and address emerging scientific, clinical, and market trends in Migraine.
Qualifications
Medical degree (MD) or advanced degree in a relevant scientific field (PhD, PharmD). Extensive experience in medical affairs, with a proven track record in global product launches (preferably in Migraine or neurology). Deep understanding of Migraine pathophysiology, treatment landscape, and unmet needs. Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional and multicultural teams. Strong network with Migraine KOLs and scientific societies. Experience in real-world evidence generation and health economics for Migraine English fluency
