Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This role empowers independence: You will work in a talented, autonomous team dedicated to enhancing LLMs’ societal value.

Location Flexibility

The existing team is based in:

  • London
  • Edinburgh
  • Paris
  • Toronto
  • New York

However, we embrace remote work. For this role, we require at least ~50% overlap with the UK/EU timezone (e.g., US East is acceptable), but otherwise, there are no location restrictions.

Culture Fit & Experience

We encourage applications from candidates aligned with the following criteria:

  • Strong statistical skills and experience evaluating scientific experiments related to data collection and model performance.
  • Exceptional software engineering proficiency.
  • Expertise in designing and deploying data collection tasks, including collaboration with human annotators.
  • Hands-on experience with analysing datasets for quality, biases, and suitability for ML model training.
  • Experience training LLMs on distributed computing platforms.
  • Familiarity with improving generalizability and robustness of ML systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX), and data science tools.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively across teams and present findings clearly.
  • Ability to contribute insightful research—papers or demos with top-tier venues highly valued (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, MLSys, JMLR, AAAI, Nature, EMNLP, COLING, ACL).

We’re particularly eager to hear from candidates who fit this profile, but outliers are welcome. Enthusiasm matters too!
