We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at Gatwick IRC, located in Gatwick.
The Senior Mental Health Nurse will support mental health services, assist GPs, and work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead to provide advanced clinical practice and leadership.
Hours: 37.5
The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns Monday to Sunday which includes weekend working on a rotational basis. Hours typically 08:00 to 18:00hrs.
Salary
Salary ranges between £48,200- £54,397 per annum - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients’ mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
- Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
- Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications required:
- Occupational Therapist or Social Worker - HCPC / NMC Registered
- Experience of working within mental health settings, developing knowledge and understanding of this patient group
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Experience of working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary environment
