Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor
Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) – London
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical team based in the London area.

Foley Street Office, London
Working Arrangements
Full-time permanent position – flexibility on hours may be arranged if discussed during recruitment.

About the Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor specialising in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating (MEPH), you’ll play a crucial role in managing the commercial aspects of our construction projects within a supportive team environment.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on a variety of projects, including:
- Custodial and healthcare facilities
- Commercial buildings
- Science facilities
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Managing commercial resources and maximising gross margin through effective contract placement and control
- Undertaking procurement activities, including:
- Subcontract enquiries
- Tender reviews
- Order production
- Producing monthly cost reports, commercial plans, and forecasts whilst managing risk and opportunity
- Valuing project and subcontract progress, measuring change, and advising on contractual matters
- Leading and mentoring junior commercial team members, supporting their development and wellbeing

Requirements & Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A degree or HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying along with:
- SMSTS qualification
- CSCS card
- Experience delivering commercial activities on medium-sized schemes, with a clear understanding of:
- JCT, NEC, and other main contract forms
- A technical understanding of MEPH services, system components, and package interfaces
- Strong organisation and proactive skills, capable of handling multiple tasks both independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers
