Senior Merchandiser – Outlets (Commercially Minded & Analytical)
About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Merchandiser with sharp commercial instincts and strong analytical skills to join our Outlets department. In this key leadership role, you’ll drive planning, trading, and stock management across all channels, ensuring sales targets, margin goals, and stock performance are met. Collaborating closely with Buying, Retail, and Warehouse teams, you’ll gain full ownership of range planning, critical path delivery, and in-season trading, ensuring a balanced, brand-aligned product offer that drives commercial success for the Reiss Outlets business.
Who You Are
- A seasoned product merchandiser with proven experience in Outlets, planning, trading, and stock control
- Commercially astute, with a numbers-driven mindset and sharp attention to detail
- Highly proficient in OTB (Open to Buy), forecasting, and driving sales performance while safeguarding margin
- A collaborative influencer, able to align cross-functional teams (Buying, Retail, Warehouse) around shared goals
- Deadlines-driven but organised—capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-moving retail environment
- A natural leader who motivates teams to exceed results while fostering a can-do attitude
Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Map and currently manage the critical path, ensuring key seasonal milestones and trading targets are consistently hit.
- Lead the Outlet Exclusives range planning process, identifying growth opportunities and shaping departmental strategy to boost profitability.
- Oversee the Planning & Buying alignment to guarantee alignment with business KPIs and financial objectives.

Planning & Analysis
- Develop and deliver seasonal Sales & Buy Plans, including market analysis, trend forecasting, and buy/trade performance reviews.
- Design balanced, brand-authentic collections that reflect Reiss’ unique DNA while meeting commercial goals.
Trading Optimisation
- Chair weekly trade meetings, providing data-driven insights to reduce markdowns and maximise sales performance.
- Manage Divisional OTB & WSSI (Weekly Sales Summary & Inventory), adjusting rebuys and cancellations rapidly to market conditions.
Stock & Supply Chain
- Oversee stock allocation and replenishment, ensuring holds sizes align with performance trends for optimal in-season execution.
