Job reference: 468839 Salary: £48,801 – £53,697 plus:
- Shift allowance
- Location allowance of £1,750
- Range of excellent benefits Location: Based at Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes
- 60% hybrid working
- Free shuttle bus between central Milton Keynes and Hanslope Park

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Manage configuration, deployment, and optimisation of Microsoft 365 services across:
- Exchange Online
- Microsoft Teams
- SharePoint
- Entra ID
- Microsoft Purview
- Wider Microsoft ecosystem
Compliance & Security
- Ensure secure, scalable, and well-governed solutions
- Implement complex organisation-wide changes aligned with:
- Enterprise collaboration
- Identity and security needs
- Productivity platforms

Problem-Solving
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical incidents
- Address repeat issues and propose sustainable remedies
- Develop, review, and maintain technical/functional documentation
Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide specialist advice to internal teams
- Assist in finding technical solutions and process improvements
- Mentor junior team members
- Maintain professional development
- Build strong customer relationships across FCDO
Escalated Support
- Cover on-call duties for up to 7 days per month (Response to urgent, out-of-hours service requirements)
Required Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Certifications & Qualifications
- Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (Exam MS-102)
- Certified to Agile methodology level
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification, or equivalent (e.g., Computer Science degree) and relevant practical experience
Core Experience
- Proven success managing a Microsoft 365 environment:
- Collaboration (Teams, SharePoint)
- Identity and security (Entra ID, Purview)
- Cloud migration and optimisation
- Secure environment experience (e.g., enterprise tech in challenging security contexts)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, hybrid environments)

Soft Skills
- Leadership in high-pressure environments

- Numeracy and analytical problem-solving
- Ability to work in ITIL-based operational frameworks
Preferred
- Experience within Government IT sectors
- Certifications in Cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Microsoft certifications)
