About Anduril Industries
Anduril is a defense technology company focused on transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. By merging 21st-century innovation with defense priorities, Anduril accelerates the design, production, and deployment of AI-powered autonomous systems. At the core is Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that integrates real-time 3D command and control, autonomy, and sensor fusion to address the challenges of modern warfare.
About the Role
The Maneuver Dominance team at Anduril develops operationally relevant, multi-asset autonomy—integrating existing Anduril platforms (such as Ghost or Altius), integrating 3rd-party systems into Lattice OS, and pioneering breakthrough hardware and algorithms that shape the future of battlefield operations.
As a Mission Software Engineer, you’ll:
- Solve networking, autonomy, systems integration, and robotics problems.
- Make pragmatic technical tradeoffs to ensure seamless customer deployments.
- Embrace a "Whatever It Takes" mindset—delivering executable solutions with agility, speed, and scalability.
This is a hands-on role: games theory, robotics, and defense systems meet rapid iteration, real-world testing, and leadership.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end feature development and deploy scalable software solutions, driving collaboration across teams. Key responsibilities include:
Core Responsibilities
- Lead technical efforts from concept to deployment, defining and refining software solutions for multi-agent autonomy and mission-critical systems.
- Design and implement software for collaborative robotic platforms (e.g. motion deconfliction, contingency management for fast-mover vehicles).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, hardware teams, and operational subject matter experts (e.g., pilots, UAV operators) to ensure Alignment with mission requirements.
- Analyze metrics for debugging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Requirements triage & troubleshooting—assess failures, root-cause failures, and coordinate escalation paths.
- Mentor junior engineers and elevate the engineering bar through code reviews and design leadership.
- Travel up to 20% of the time for real-world testing and deployment of systems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
