As a Senior MLOps Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling machine learning at scale across Virgin Media O₂. You’ll work on a well-established, in-house MLOps platform supporting multiple data science teams, translating experiments into reliable, production-ready solutions. Bridging machine learning, software engineering, and cloud platforms, your focus will be on building robust foundations that accelerate teams with confidence.
Key responsibilities include elevating shared MLOps tooling, optimising model delivery, monitoring operations, and exploring agentic AI’s innovative applications within Google Cloud’s ecosystem. You’ll blend hands-on technical work with collaborative efforts in ML platform best practices, developer experience improvements, and strategic direction shaping.

The role: must-haves
- Strong Python development experience in machine learning production environments
- Experience in ML system operations & support at scale
- Hands-on cloud expertise: GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Proficiency with ML pipelines, CI/CD, and software engineering best practices
- Confidence in improving and working within existing codebases
Bonus added value
- Google Cloud expertise: Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run
- Experience with agentic AI, LLMs, or AI tools like Gemini, Vertex AI Agent Builder
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and ML monitoring tools
- Platform/tooling focus: Building developer experience improvements
- Production API know-how: FastAPI or similar frameworks
