Senior Mobile Developer (.NET MAUI / Xamarin)
Location: Hybrid (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Overview
A leading technology business is looking to appoint a Senior Mobile Developer to join its growing software engineering team and take ownership of the continued development of its commercial mobile applications.
This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on building, maintaining, and optimizing mobile applications using.NET MAUI and Xamarin Forms. You’ll work within a collaborative development team while also having the autonomy to investigate complex issues, improve application performance, and contribute to wider.NET projects where required.
The role is ideal for someone with significant commercial mobile development experience who enjoys solving technical challenges, improving application performance, and delivering high-quality software within a modern Microsoft technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain commercial mobile applications using.NET MAUI and Xamarin Forms
- Investigate and resolve issues across mobile and backend .NET applications
- Build scalable, maintainable, and high-performing mobile solutions
- Optimize application performance and resolve bottlenecks
- Develop user interfaces using XAML and MVVM architecture
- Collaborate with developers to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
- Support wider.NET applications and backend services where required
- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices
- Research and adopt new tools, frameworks, and development techniques
- Create binding libraries for native SDKs where required

Requirements
- 6+ years of commercial experience with Xamarin Forms and/or.NET MAUI
- Strong commercial experience developing mobile applications using C# and.NET
- Excellent understanding of the MVVM design pattern
- Strong experience building user interfaces using XAML
- Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable
- Understanding of native iOS and Android development layers
- Experience with.NET Core MVC or ASP.NET technologies
- Experience creating native binding libraries for unsupported SDKs
- Experience working across backend .NET applications
- Knowledge of mobile application performance profiling and optimization
