Senior Mortgage Advisor (self-employed)
Senior Mortgage Advisor (self-employed)
Let’s be honest, getting a mortgage hasn’t always been the smoothest experience. Endless emails, confusing jargon, and continuous chasing for updates. Splitt was created to change that.
We combine experienced, down-to-earth advisers with smart technology to make the process clearer, quicker and far less stressful for our clients. No corporate waffle. No pressure. Just straightforward advice delivered in a way that actually makes sense.
We also believe mortgages should do more than just fund homes. That’s why we donate 2% of our turnover from every completed mortgage to sustainability and regeneration projects - creating real impact at no cost to our clients.
At Splitt, we’re here to make mortgages feel simpler, more human and a little more positive for everyone involved.
The role
As we prepare for launch, we’re now seeking an experienced mortgage advisor to work with us to provide outstanding service to a diverse range of clients.
Splitt has a passion for modernising the mortgage industry, in addition to regenerating natural environments across the UK and internationally, therefore this role is well suited to a forward thinking, tech savvy advisor with a passion for sustainability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role will initially be on a full time, self-employed basis, and would be well suited to an already self-employed advisor looking to join a forward thinking business and be a leader within a growing company. If you’re employed and up for the challenge of leading in a growing business though, we’d still love to hear from you.
As the company grows, opportunities for employed senior positions will open up, including becoming Splitt’s Head of Mortgages. Whilst the role will initially be fully remote, we plan to move into an office in Bedfordshire within two years of trading. Therefore, being within a commutable distance would be preferable, but not essential.
