Zest Money Group

Zest Money Group is an independent mortgage, protection and insurance brokerage serving clients across Essex and Suffolk. We are looking for an experienced Senior Mortgage & Protection Broker to join our growing team in Sudbury or Bury St Edmunds, with access to leads from a market-leading estate agent and strong administrative support to help you focus on advising and converting business.

The Role

You Will

  • Provide high-quality mortgage and protection advice across residential, remortgage, buy-to-let and related protection needs.
  • Manage the full client journey from initial enquiry through to completion, delivering excellent service and compliant advice throughout.
  • Work warm leads generated by a market-leading estate agency, while also building your own local relationships and introducer network.
  • Handle complex cases confidently, including self-employed applicants, buy-to-let investors and clients with non-standard income structures.
  • Maintain accurate records, fact-finds and suitability documentation in line with FCA and internal compliance standards.
  • Contribute to the growth of Zest’s presence in Sudbury or Bury St Edmunds through strong client outcomes and local relationship building.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Mortgage & Protection Adviser or Broker, ideally in a senior or high-performing role.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage and protection products, lender criteria and the end-to-end advice process.
  • A confident, client-focused approach with excellent communication and conversion skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy pipeline and work effectively with administrators, solicitors, estate agents and lenders.
  • CeMAP or equivalent qualification is expected for an advisory role of this level.
  • Experience working with estate agency introducers would be a strong advantage.
