Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior MRI Radiographer role based in Milton Keynes. The Senior MRI Radiographer will perform high-quality MRI scans, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety in accordance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and positioning patients
  • Operating MRI equipment
  • Checking images for diagnostic quality
  • Assisting with complex or specialized imaging procedures
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior radiography staff
  • Contributing to workflow optimization
  • Implementing best practices and new imaging techniques

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in MRI scanning, including advanced techniques and complex examinations, with strong attention to patient safety and image quality.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting modern MRI equipment and related imaging software, with comfort using digital systems and healthcare technology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain procedures clearly, support anxious patients, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Leadership experience or readiness to act as a senior team member, including mentoring junior radiographers and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
  • Recognized radiography qualification (e.g., degree or diploma in Radiography) and registration with the relevant professional body (such as HCPC or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations, MRI safety protocols, infection prevention, and clinical governance in an imaging environment.
  • Experience in private healthcare or outpatient imaging settings is beneficial, along with a patient-centered approach and commitment to high standards of care.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Milton Keynes, manage workload efficiently, and adapt to evolving technology and service demands.
