Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are looking for a Senior Murex Business Analyst to join our team in London, where you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing our Murex platforms. You will be part of a distributed team based in EMEA and North America whilst working closely with front office, market risk and product control users, building a deep understanding of the Murex system to deliver robust and innovative solutions that drive efficiency and profitability.

Our team supports several Murex instances, covering FX option derivatives and Interest Rate derivatives, and a wide range of modules (front office, back office, market risk, reporting, workflow integration, flex api). You will have the opportunity to interact with multiple business lines like front office traders, back-office operations, product control or quants.

What will you do?

  • Deliver enhancements on the Murex platform as well as provide day-to-day support to traders using this application.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle: requirements gathering, solution design and actionable work breakdown structure, configuring/coding the solution, testing and deployment.
  • Interact with senior leadership, traders and technology teams across the organization.
  • Ensure documentation and deliverables meet expected standards.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to system configuration, P&L, simulation views, static data, GOM, market data, market operations, EOD, pre-trade, etc. – this entails providing the fix, documenting the code change and the test results.
  • Liaise with technical and business support teams and Murex vendors when required.
  • Work on small and large BAU projects to deliver extended functionality and enhancements.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Murex FO expertise: Significant in-depth experience as a Murex Business Analyst, notably Murex FO modules (deal booking, pricing, events, e-tradepad, simulation).
  • Product knowledge: Strong product knowledge in FX and Interest Rate Derivatives.
  • Murex Technical proficiency: Deep understanding of trade lifecycle, system configuration, P&L analysis, static data setup, market data, GOM, EOD processes.
  • SQL and reporting: Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with reporting tools for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Agile and development collaboration: Experience with Jira and Agile + waterfall SDLC.
  • Requirements gathering and problem-solving: Proven capability to structure loosely defined or incomplete requirements into clear deliverables and provide solutions to front office user requests. Ability to translate non-technical requirements into actionable technical items for developers.
  • Stakeholder and trader engagement: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with direct experience interacting with traders, explaining complex technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Global team collaboration: Ability to work effectively across distributed teams in multiple time zones with strong written and verbal communication.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
