MD Therapy UK is a human performance, recovery, and rehabilitation clinic based in Glasgow City Centre, supporting individuals and organizations operating under sustained physical and cognitive pressure.
The team works with athletes, executives, founders, and desk-based professionals whose roles demand prolonged concentration, responsibility, and output. Using a systems-based approach, MD Therapy UK combines structured assessment, hands-on therapy, rehabilitation, and coaching to address root causes, manage load intelligently, and reduce the risk of breakdown.
Services include exercise prescription, injury rehabilitation, manual therapy, sports massage, performance and recovery assessments, and movement and resilience coaching. Support is delivered both in-clinic and through performance-focused programs for people and organizations committed to sustainable performance through intelligent recovery.
Role Description
The Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist will provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for clients presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal and performance-related issues. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves:
- Conducting structured performance and recovery assessments
- Collaborating with colleagues to refine treatment pathways
- Educating clients on load management, injury prevention, and resilience in high-pressure roles
The therapist will:
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Contribute to service development
- Uphold best practice and professional standards
This is a full-time, self-employed on-site role based in the Greater Glasgow Area, working primarily from the Glasgow City Centre clinic.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree in Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy (or equivalent) and current registration with the appropriate professional body (e.g., HCPC and CSP or equivalent), with substantial post-qualification musculoskeletal experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in musculoskeletal assessment, differential diagnosis, and clinical reasoning, including experience with complex and chronic presentations.
- Strong skills in manual therapy and soft tissue techniques, including joint mobilization, sports massage, and hands-on treatment for performance-focused clients.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering individualized rehabilitation and exercise prescription programs, including strength, mobility, and movement coaching.
- Experience working with high-performing populations (e.g., athletes, executives, and desk-based professionals) and an understanding of performance, load management, and recovery principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, coach clients on behaviour change, and explain clinical concepts clearly.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including accurate record-keeping, case management, and the ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and openness to integrating coaching and multidisciplinary approaches into care.
