Marvel FMCG is exclusively partnered with Allied Bakeries on their search for a Senior National Account Manager.

This is your chance to run two of the biggest accounts in grocery for a business that's been feeding the nation for generations. Sainsbury's and Morrisons.

Why this role?

Because this isn't a caretaker role. Allied Bakeries is at one of the most exciting points in its history. Serious investment. Fresh energy behind the brands. A commercial team that's growing, not treading water.

And the culture backs it up. This is a business that genuinely invests in its people, no empty promises. Real development, real backing, real accountability. You'll be trusted to own your accounts properly. Senior conversations one day, sleeves rolled up on forecasting the next.

Bread is a category everyone watches. Get it right here and the whole industry notices.

What you'll actually be doing

  • Owning the Sainsbury's and Morrisons relationships.
  • Building and delivering joint business plans that both sides actually believe in.
  • Running your P&L. Sales, profit, promotional investment, forecasting, the numbers are yours.
  • Spotting opportunities others miss. Innovation, category initiatives, promotional plans that create real value.
  • Working shoulder-to-shoulder with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Ops to make growth happen.
  • Giving senior leaders honest commercial insight even when it's not what they want to hear.
  • Keeping forecasting and reporting sharp, so nobody gets surprised.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who are Allied Bakeries?

Allied Bakeries is one of the UK's biggest bakery businesses and part of Associated British Foods. Their brands? You already know them. Kingsmill, Allinson's, Sunblest. Bread that's been on British tables for generations, baked at sites across the country and delivered to every major retailer, every day. Right now the business is investing hard in its brands, its innovation pipeline and its people. Sliced bread might be one of grocery's oldest categories but Allied's ambition for it is anything but.

Who this suits

  • You're a National Account Manager or Senior NAM in grocery FMCG, ready for a bigger stage or a broader remit.
  • You've managed major retailers before and grown them. You know your way around a JBP, you can negotiate without burning bridges and you understand what actually moves a P&L.
  • You're comfortable at pace. You influence people without needing a job title to do it. And when things get messy you bring solutions, not drama.
  • Experience matters here, big accounts need someone who's done it before. But we're not counting years on a CV. If you've got the track record, the commercial brain and the appetite, we want to hear from you.
