Senior National Account Manager

Location: North London / Hertfordshire (Hybrid)

Package: Circa £60,000 Basic + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced National Account Manager with a passion for the foodservice industry?

We're partnering with a leading UK foodservice business to recruit a Senior National Account Manager to manage and develop a portfolio of some of the UK's most recognised casual dining, restaurant and food-to-go operators.


About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established commercial team where you'll have genuine autonomy, build strategic partnerships with major multi-site customers and play a key role in driving profitable growth.

Reporting into the National Accounts leadership team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing long-term strategic relationships with national foodservice customers
  • Identifying opportunities to grow revenue, improve profitability and deliver exceptional service
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders across both customer organisations and internal departments to ensure outstanding customer experience and successful execution of commercial plans

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of major national restaurant, casual dining and food-to-go accounts
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing business while securing new national account opportunities
  • Develop and implement Joint Business Plans with clear commercial objectives and measurable outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers across purchasing, operations and commercial teams
  • Produce accurate sales forecasts and identify opportunities to maximise revenue and margin
  • Deliver customer-focused commercial solutions that strengthen long-term partnerships
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations and Marketing to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Support menu development, promotional activity, and category growth initiatives
  • Analyse market trends and customer performance to identify future growth opportunities
  • Act as a trusted commercial partner, ensuring customers receive innovative and value-added service

About You

We're looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager who understands the demands of managing large, complex foodservice accounts.

You'll be:

  • Confident in influencing senior stakeholders
  • Commercially astute and passionate about building long-term customer partnerships

Experience Required

  • Proven National Account Management experience within foodservice, food manufacturing, food distribution or FMCG
  • Experience managing large multi-site hospitality, restaurant, QSR or food-to-go customers
  • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Experience in developing Joint Business Plans and delivering sustainable account growth
  • Excellent forecasting, planning and analytical capability
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple strategic accounts
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • A collaborative approach with experience working across cross-functional teams
