Senior National Account Manager – Grocery Retail - FMCG

Manchester (Hybrid 3-day office) | £65,000-£75,000 + Bonus

This is about owning major retail relationships, influencing strategy, and having the commercial freedom to make things happen.

You'll inherit established grocery accounts, but the expectation isn't to stand still. It's to grow them.

The role

You'll own the commercial relationship from top to bottom.

  • Joint Business Plans.

  • Growth strategy.
  • Cross-functional projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The sort of role where you'll spend as much time influencing internally as you will sitting across the table from your customer.

You'll be trusted to make decisions, challenge where needed, and spot opportunities others miss.

What they're looking for

  • You've probably already managed national retail accounts within FMCG.
  • Private label experience would be ideal.
  • You understand the numbers as well as the relationships.
  • You're commercially curious, confident in front of customers, and comfortable owning both the wins and the challenges.

Why this one?

Because you'll be joining a fantastic private-label manufacturer at a time when they're continuing to invest and grow.
