Senior NAV / Business Central Consultant

About the role; The Senior NAV/Business Central Consultant role is a customer facing position leading projects within all aspects of scope, design, and implementation of Business Central primarily from a functional perspective. To be successful in this role you will be able to carry out onsite and remote delivery of Business Central and its associated modules for customers across a variety of industries, combined with the support and maintenance of NAV / BC including third-party integrations.

In addition to the delivery of client projects, you will work closely with the pre-sales team to review opportunities, providing demonstrations of system functionality and associated effort estimates supporting the ability to carry through opportunities won into the operations delivery team.

To be considered you must have previous experience leading the delivery of BC solutions within a Microsoft Partner, including presales involvement. You should also have a good working knowledge of ISV solutions that can implemented alongside Business Central to extend its capabilities to meet customer project requirements such as Continia, Jet Reports, Pryme, Insight Works and Tasklet Factory.

Travel will be required to fulfil the requirements of the role, a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; Collaborate with clients to analyse business requirements, processes, and systems to design effective Business Central solutions Lead in architecting solutions that align with client needs, ensuring the solution is scalable, cost-effective, and efficient Manage full-cycle Business Central implementations from requirements gathering to go-live, including: data migration, system configuration, documenting customisation requests, testing, and user training Design, configure, and test Business Central modules (Finance, Sales, Inventory, Purchasing, Projects, Manufacturing, etc.) to align with client specifications Develop and deliver training programs to ensure clients are well-equipped to use the Business Central system effectively Act as an escalation point within the team, supporting with complex issues and mentoring Provide ongoing post-implementation support and maintenance Work alongside project manager to manage project scope, timelines, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring successful project delivery Work with the development team to design and implement customisations, integrations, and extensions as needed Presales activity including demonstrations Conduct thorough testing to ensure system integrity, data accuracy, and alignment with business requirements Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing expert guidance, regular updates, and proactive problem-solving Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to help clients achieve operational excellence Stay up-to-date on new Business Central features, best practices, and industry trends, and provide thought leadership within the consulting team

Knowledge, Skills & Experience;

MB-800 Certification Full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle Significant hands-on experience in implementing, customising, and supporting Business Central and NAV Proficiency in configuration, setup, and deployment of Business Central across various industries. Microsoft Partner experience Experience integrating Business Central with other Microsoft products (e.g., Power BI, Azure, Office 365) Proficiency in data migration processes and tools like RapidStart ISV implementation experience - Jet Reporting, Pryme – Progressus, Insight Works, Tasklet Factory, Conitina Expense Management & Document Capture SQL Server (Installation, Configuration & Maintenance) Knowledge of finance and accounting processes in their relation to BC implementations Proven track record of successful project implementations and targets achievement Ability to deal with escalation issues and demonstrate ownership of such issue through to resolution Excellent communication and organisational skills
