Senior Backend Developer

We're looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong.NET expertise to join a high-impact engagement building trading platform capabilities for one of the world's largest hedge funds. You'll bring deep experience in C#, Kafka, and SQL, and be ready to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes financial services environment alongside experienced engineers.

Project Overview

This role sits on the Order Management and Execution Management (OMS/EMS) platform for one of the largest hedge funds in the world. The client is expanding the range of asset classes supported by its trading systems, and is scaling up engineering capacity to deliver this. Engineers will initially be embedded within one of the client's five project-aligned teams to learn the domain, codebase, and ways of working. Once ramped up, the team will transition to operating as a standalone delivery unit, working in parallel with the client's other teams to accelerate onboarding of new asset classes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
