About this role Just Eat Takeaway.com is looking to hire a Backend Software Engineer for our Customer Order Platform team. In this role, you'll be a key player in optimising our customer order platform to enable a seamless order journey. You'll design and develop scalable, high-quality software solutions that enhance the customer experience on a global scale. Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our London office & 2 days working from home Reporting to: Technology Manager These are some of the key components to the position: Track the progress that you are making towards the wider goals of your team, and transparently communicate that progress to your team and Technology Manager Keep to the processes, standards and designs that your team has agreed on Implement new features, ensuring established code quality standards but also actively improve code quality in the wider team by pairing, contributing to peer reviews & knowledge sharing Take responsibility for supporting your changes all the way through to proving that they work well – and continue to work well – in production What will you bring to the team? Experience in .NET & C# Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful design Knowledgeable in both SQL and NoSQL database systems Solid foundation in software engineering principles and best practices, including data structures, design patterns, microservices, event-driven architectures, object-oriented design, and code optimization. Well-versed in Git VCS Proficient in DevOps practices with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines Ability to work independently and collaborate to solve complex problems Willingness to learn and grow professionally in a team environment, and contribute to company’s vision and developing its products At JET, this is how we play: Our teams forge connections internally and work with some of the best-known brands on the planet, giving us truly international impact in a dynamic environment.
