Lead Network Analyst

Location: South West England (Hybrid)
Salary: Competitive + Benefits

We are partnered with a well-established UK organisation seeking an experienced Lead Network Analyst to join its Infrastructure team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing development, security and optimisation of a large-scale enterprise network environment, supporting both internal users and customer-facing services.

Working closely with infrastructure, security, server and storage teams, you will take ownership of network performance, resilience and continuous improvement initiatives while helping shape the future network architecture of the business.

The Role

As the Lead Network Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance and security of voice, data and wireless network services. You will act as a technical lead for network operations, troubleshooting complex issues, driving service improvements and supporting strategic infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining enterprise network services.
  • Monitoring network performance, availability and capacity.
  • Reviewing and improving network architecture and topology.
  • Delivering network upgrades, enhancements and new technology implementations.
  • Supporting network segmentation and security initiatives.
  • Managing network-related incidents and root cause analysis.
  • Working with third-party suppliers and technology partners.
  • Contributing to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Producing and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.

About You

We are looking for an experienced networking professional who has operated in a senior engineering, analyst or technical lead capacity within a complex enterprise environment.

You will have experience with:

  • Routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.
  • VLANs, QoS and network segmentation.
  • IP Telephony technologies including VoIP and SIP.
  • Enterprise firewalls, web application firewalls and load balancing technologies.
  • Network security and cyber security best practices.
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex networking issues.
  • Leading network improvement and optimisation projects.

  • ISO27001.
  • Relevant networking certifications and technical qualifications.
