Network Architect Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Network Architect to join a leading engineering and technology organisation, supporting the design and development of secure network architectures across complex UK and international programmes. You will play a key role in shaping secure network solutions, working alongside infrastructure, information security and operational teams to deliver resilient, accredited network environments.
This role is responsible for designing and developing secure network architectures across projects from concept through to delivery, whilst collaborating with technical specialists, stakeholders and international teams to support both current and future network capabilities, including cloud adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Design secure network architectures for highly secure and classified environments.
- Produce network designs and technical solutions from project inception through to delivery.
- Collaborate with Network Operations, Information Security, SOC, Infrastructure and Application teams.
- Chair and contribute to technical design reviews and architecture meetings.
- Support the development of secure networking standards across UK and international programmes.
- Provide architectural guidance for cloud adoption and modern network technologies.
- Work closely with stakeholders to balance technical, operational and security requirements.
- Support network accreditation activities where required.

Ideal Candidate
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience designing enterprise or secure network architectures.
- A strong understanding of network security technologies and secure-by-design principles.
- Experience working within highly regulated or secure environments.
- Exposure to cloud networking technologies and hybrid infrastructure.
- Experience working across international or multi-cultural engineering teams.
- The confidence to lead technical discussions and influence design decisions.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in network architecture and network design.
- Strong knowledge of secure network infrastructure and network security.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to chair technical and design meetings.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, business analysts and technical stakeholders.
- Eligibility to achieve UK Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance.
