Senior Network Architect
Network Tooling Automation Architect
Job Details
- Contract Length: Initial 3 Months (ASAP Start)
- Day Rate: Inside IR35
- Location: Hybrid – Central London, 3 days on site
About the Role
We are looking for a Lead OSS/BSS & Network Tooling Automation Architect to join a major telecommunications transformation programme. This role will lead a cross-functional squad focused on the convergence and automation of network rollout tooling.
Working closely with transformation, network, and OSS teams, you will:
- Capture business requirements.
- Assess the current tooling landscape.
- Define future-state capabilities. You'll also provide industry insight, helping shape the organisation's automation strategy and wider OSS roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional squad delivering network tooling automation initiatives.
- Drive the convergence and automation of network rollout tooling.
- Work with transformation teams to capture business requirements and desired outcomes.
- Assess the current tooling landscape, documenting:
- Capabilities.
- Processes.
- Pain points.
- Data requirements.
- Facilitate workshops with business, network, and OSS stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into strategic OSS tooling recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, and operational processes.
- Conduct market reviews of network workflow and automation tooling.
- Produce:
- Architecture documentation.
- Tooling roadmaps.
- Governance recommendations.
- Collaborate with OSS teams to define future tooling strategy.
- Provide technical leadership and industry best practices across OSS/BSS and network automation.

Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience within telecommunications OSS/BSS architecture.
- Proven experience leading OSS transformation or network automation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of network rollout and deployment processes.
- Experience assessing and modernising enterprise tooling landscapes.
- Knowledge of:
- Network inventory.
- Provisioning.
- Service orchestration.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Ability to quickly embed into fast-paced transformation programmes.
