Senior Network Development Engineer, Media Systems Engineering

Senior Network Development Engineer — Amazon MGM Studios

Are you interested in shaping the future of entertainment?

Amazon MGM Studios is the movies and television development, production, and distribution arm of Amazon. It is our role to produce original content in service of Amazon's Prime Video customers. We need your passion, innovative ideas, and creativity to help take us to new heights.

Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a Senior Network Development Engineer to lead the design, architecture, and operation of secure, high-performance network and wireless infrastructure across our global production facilities. You'll work at the intersection of entertainment and technology—ensuring that the networks powering content creation for Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, and original productions are reliable, scalable, and secure.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Own the network architecture roadmap across studio production facilities.
  • Design and optimize enterprise network and WiFi for high-density studio and stage environments.
  • Collaborate with Amazon Security to build zero-trust network solutions and maintain compliance with content protection standards.
  • Support and troubleshoot network, compute, and storage systems—including NAS, SAN, and media servers—both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Develop automation to reduce manual processes and maintain consistent environments.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs for connectivity services.
  • Plan capacity for upcoming productions, facility growth, and new technology rollouts.
  • Mentor engineers and establish technical standards for the team.
  • Connect on-premises production environments to cloud services.
  • Provide high-priority on-demand support for active productions, including network, WiFi, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Escalate issues where necessary and coordinate with vendors to resolve outages quickly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
