The Opportunity
We are working with a leading professional services organisation seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled CCNP-level Network Engineer with proven experience designing and implementing enterprise network solutions. We're looking for someone with a strong Cisco networking background, who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading deployments, and helping organisations adopt modern networking technologies.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with expertise across routing, switching, security, and wireless networking, alongside exposure to software-defined networking technologies such as Cisco SD-Access, ACI, ISE, and Firepower. You don’t need to be an expert in every area, but you should be enthusiastic about learning, developing new skills, and helping shape future network architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise network solutions across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data centre environments
- Lead network projects from initial design through implementation, migration, and optimisation
- Deliver secure, scalable, and resilient Cisco-based infrastructure solutions
- Work with modern networking technologies such as Cisco SD-Access, ACI, ISE, and Firepower
- Produce high and low-level network designs and technical documentation
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to colleagues where required
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex networking issues
- Drive continuous improvement and adoption of emerging networking technologies

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
