Network Engineer L2 (Full-Time | B2B Contract)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer L2 to join our team in London on a full-time B2B contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies and the ability to resolve complex network incidents with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents related to routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and firewall connectivity.
- Configure, install, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Perform network monitoring, fault isolation, and root cause analysis.
- Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure refresh projects.
- Implement and maintain VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, QoS, ACLs, NAT, and network segmentation.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and static routing.
- Support VPN technologies (Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPN).
- Collaborate with Level 1, Level 3, Security, Infrastructure, and Project teams.
- Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in change management processes and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry best practices.
- Provide on-call or after-hours support when required.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3–6+ years of experience in Network Engineering or Network Support.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Cisco Routers and Switches
- Cisco Catalyst & Nexus Platforms
- Cisco Wireless (WLC & Access Points)
- VLANs, STP, VTP, EtherChannel
- OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT
- VPN Technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
- ACLs and QoS
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Cisco DNA Center.
- Good understanding of firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Check Point).
- Experience working in enterprise IT environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA (Required)
- CCNP Enterprise (Preferred)
- ITIL Foundation Certification (Preferred)
- Additional certifications in Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto are advantageous.

Mandatory Requirements
- UK Passport Holder (Mandatory)

- Available to work under a Full-Time B2B Contract.
