Network Infrastructure Architect (Senior Escalation) – TGR Haas F1 Team

About the Role

At TGR Haas F1 Team, innovation fuels competition. As the first American F1 team since 1986, we pioneered a historic debut in 2016 and continue to challenge, evolve, and push boundaries in motorsport engineering. With three headquarters spanning Kannapolis (US), Banbury (UK), and Maranello (Italy), we thrive on teamwork, flexibility, and uncompromising performance.

This role is based in Banbury, UK, reporting to the IT Infrastructure Operations Manager. You will be the technical owner of Haas F1 Team’s global networking estate—designing, securing, and modernising networks to support critical race operations and business systems, while ensuring 24/7 availability and resilience across on-premises, cloud, and trackside environments.

Key Responsibilities

Newtork Design & Delivery

  • Lead the design, security, and continuous improvement of Haas F1 Team’s multicontinental network infrastructure, ensuring high performance, scalability, and availability to underpin race operations and business systems.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, secure remote connectivity) in rackside, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Design & implement network security controls, including firewalls, VPN, load balancing, and ZTNA architectures, while embedding zero-trust and secure-by-design principles.
  • Execute network projects end-to-end, managing scope, risks, timelines, and compliance policies.
  • Provide 3rd-line technical support and escalation for network incidents, ensuring SLA adherence and driving root-cause analysis for continuous improvement.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain, optimise, and secure multi-domain network infrastructure, covering routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and network access.
  • Define operational standards, deployment patterns, and documentation, including monitoring, alerting, and automation frameworks for performance and reliability.
  • Drive network automation and IaC (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python) to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Offer broader infrastructure expertise to support cloud, virtualisation, Kubernetes, and cross-platform integration as needed.
  • Collaborate across Infrastructure, Cloud & Apps teams and wider IT, translating business needs into technical solutions.

Support & Collaboration

  • Act as a single point of contact for technical escalations, mentoring junior engineers and vendor/supplier interactions.
  • On-call responsibilities during race season or high-pressure phases to resolve critical incidents.
  • Represent technical expertise in meetings, audits, and governance processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
