Senior Network Engineer
Location: Norwich Salary: £65,000
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and wants to be at the forefront of network innovation.
You’ll be working hands-on across Cisco and Juniper technologies, supporting enterprise environments spanning LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, and Cloud. It’s a role where you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, influence improvements, and help shape the future of network services.
This position would suit either:
- An experienced Network Engineer ready to step up, or
- A seasoned professional looking to broaden their impact, leadership exposure, and technical depth.

Responsibilities
- Play a key role in maintaining and enhancing enterprise network infrastructure
- Support connectivity across cloud and hosted environments
- Provide technical leadership across projects and contribute to the network roadmap
- Drive automation and modernisation initiatives
- Oversee incident, problem, and change management, working with internal teams and third-party providers
- Contribute to continuous improvement and service excellence
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota (where required)
Requirements
Strong experience across a mix of:
- SD-WAN (overlay & underlay)
- SASE / SSE
- LAN switching and wireless networking
- Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Juniper
- Certifications such as CCNA (minimum), with CCNP-level knowledge preferred
- Experience with network automation (Python or similar)
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including packet-level analysis (Wireshark)
- Ability to collaborate, influence stakeholders, and work effectively with third parties
