Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Hybrid (Leicester) Salary: Up to £57,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced Network Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for enterprise networking? Do you enjoy working in complex environments where networking sits at the heart of the infrastructure?

We're looking for a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to join a well-established organisation with a large-scale enterprise environment. This role is heavily focused on Cisco networking, while also requiring strong Microsoft infrastructure and VMware expertise to support the wider IT estate.

The Role

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining, supporting and improving a large enterprise network alongside the wider Microsoft infrastructure environment. You'll provide 3rd line support, lead technical projects and act as a senior escalation point for complex networking and infrastructure issues.

You'll work across both BAU support and project delivery, including network upgrades, server migrations, Microsoft infrastructure improvements, VMware upgrades and technology refreshes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
