Senior Network Technology Consultant
Senior Network Technology Consultant (Fixed Term – 6 Months Contract)
About the Role
Location : Birmingham, London, Manchester, Reading Job Family : Digital & Technology Employment Type : Full Time, Fixed Term Contract (6 months)
We are recruiting for a Senior Network Technology Consultant to support the evolution of our fixed network infrastructure across key platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a strategic technical consultancy service to guide investment decisions for network and technology platforms.
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and planning teams (as well as vendors) to develop high-level options, cost estimates, and lead times during concept evaluation and directional steering phases.
- Develop technical briefing packs and support financial teams in creating measurable, robust investment cases—ensuring all viable options are considered before major capital expenditure (impacting hundreds of millions of pounds in UK fixed network projects).

Your Impact
Requirements
Must-Have:
✔ 深厚的固定网络技术知识 Bold = Incorrect text kept exactly from original (but non-standard for job desc): Fixed network appears correct, so clarify below ♦ Proven technical expertise in fixed network architectures ✔ Ability to synthesise domain roadmaps across engineering functions ✔ Advanced Excel skills (including data modelling and analysis) ✔ Track record of:
- Creating technical briefing packs
- Innovation-driven improvements for customer experience/expectations
- Experience with Access Network enhancements

✔ Network Access product experience (Tier 1 carrier-grade contexts) ✔ Expertise in PON technology (Passive Optical Networks)—*including virtualised:
- L2 Aggregation

- Focus on FTTP/XGSPON architecture ✔ Theoretical/technical knowledge of emerging tech like SR-MPLS
