Senior Neurodevelopment Practitioner - X2 Positions available - Early Years + Adults
Leeds Area - Hybrid
£60,000 - £65,000 FTE
Can be part time (Min 3 days)
On site working (Can do 2 days from home)
The sites offer excellent working facilities and has a "Good" CQC rating across all areas.
With this being a senior clinical role for the Neurodevelopmental service, you will be expected to provide clinical leadership, specialist expertise and clinical supervision.
Day to day you can expect to be undertaking complex assessments, providing clinical oversight to other members of the team & ensuring assessments are safe and compliant throughout.
Core Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis
- Conduct complex early year Autism assessments using clinical interviews, standardised tools, multidisciplinary information, and DSM-5 criteria.
- Develop robust clinical formulations, diagnostic conclusions, and high-quality assessment reports.
- Manage risk and safeguarding concerns while delivering neuroaffirming, person-centred care and contributing to multidisciplinary decision-making.

Clinical Leadership & Supervision
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to multidisciplinary practitioners.
- Guide colleagues in diagnostic reasoning, formulation, risk management, and safeguarding.
- Promote staff development, confidence, and consistency of practice across the neurodevelopmental assessment pathway.
Quality, Governance & Service Improvement
- Ensure practice aligns with NICE guidance, professional standards, and organisational policies.
- Quality assure reports, maintain accurate records, and support audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to service development, pathway innovation, and the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care.

- Maintain professional registration and adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality, and information governance requirements.
- Engage in supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development.
- Support recruitment, induction, training, and workforce development activities.
Essential
- Professional qualification and registration (e.g. HCPC, GMC, NMC).
- Significant experience conducting early years Autism assessments and working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing complex presentations, risk, and safeguarding concerns.
- Experience providing clinical supervision, mentorship, or leadership to colleagues.
- Excellent formulation, report-writing, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with electronic clinical systems and documentation.
