Senior Next.js Developer

Senior Next.js Developer (UK-based)

About the Role This senior frontend engineering position is being managed by a partner company within a fast-moving iGaming environment. You’ll focus on developing high-performance, scalable web applications with a strong emphasis on usability, performance, and maintainability. Working alongside distributed teams, you’ll shape frontend architecture, development standards, and mentorship, all while driving technical excellence and continuous improvement. This role blends hands-on coding with technical leadership, ensuring impactful contributions to product quality and player experience at scale.


Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain modern web applications using Next.js and React, ensuring high performance, scalability, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Collaborate in technical refinement, architecture discussions, and long-term roadmap planning with engineering leadership.
  • Mentor and support junior developers, fostering skill growth, best practices, and team technical performance.
  • Provide constructive technical feedback in a way that enhances collaboration and team cohesion.
  • Distill and communicate complex technical concepts clearly, adjusting style for diverse audiences.
  • Maintain transparency and alignment with distributed teams, addressing progress, risks, and priorities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in modern web application development, with a hands-on expertise in Next.js and React.
  • A deep understanding of web frameworks, browser-based application architecture, and scalability principles.
  • Experience thriving in structured software development teams and tool ecosystems.
  • Excellent English (written and spoken) for effective collaboration.
  • Proactive mindset, ability to take ownership, and adaptability in high-impact environments.
