Senior Non-Functional Test (NFT) Analyst

Department: Procode IT

Location: Commutable distance of our Chandlers Ford office

Salary: Circa £55k + Up to 15% discretionary bonus scheme

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Non-Functional Test Analyst to take ownership and evolve our approach to performance, resilience, capacity, security, and operational readiness. What does this role involve?

You’ll play a key role in making sure our critical systems perform reliably for our customers making a real impact to them. From the earliest planning stages, you’ll work with cross-functional product teams and customers to define the right level of non-functional testing needed for each solution.

  • Design and run performance, resilience, recovery, volume, and security tests, using tools like JMeter and LoadRunner to uncover how our systems behave under pressure.
  • Create clear test approaches, plans, scripts, data sets, and reports that help teams understand risks and make confident decisions.
  • Take ownership of our products’ overall performance including availability, scalability, security, and resilience. Using insights on expected volumes, scalability requirements, and disaster-recovery scenarios, you’ll plan and execute the tests that ensure we’re ready for peak demand and unexpected events.

Who are we looking for?

You'll be a seasoned Non-Functional Test Analyst who’s curious, analytical, and passionate about building systems that excel under real-world conditions. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy diving into how things work, spotting patterns in performance data, and challenging teams to push their solutions further.

  • Bring strong experience across non-functional testing, from performance and resilience to recovery, volume, and security.
  • Confident using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to uncover how systems behave under pressure.
  • Know how to translate those findings into clear insights that help teams make smart decisions.
  • Enjoy partnering with product teams, guiding them on what good looks like from the earliest stages of delivery.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable influencing at all levels.
