Priory Hospital Enfield have an opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist who is looking to progress into a Senior Occupational Therapist role. Located in Edmonton, North London, Priory Hospital Enfield offers acute and secure services for adult females. We have two medium secure wards, one low secure and one acute ward. We offer specialist mental health care to people who are unwell and are considered to be unable to look after themselves in the community. We offer specialist assessment, treatment and care to patients with severe mental illness, complex needs and people who require an environment with security and safety.
Priory’s acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home, and we support the NHS in repatriating out-of-area patients back to local areas.

Key Responsibilities
- As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services, working closely with the Lead Occupational Therapist and wider clinical team to provide person-centred care.
- Support the Lead Occupational Therapist in coordinating and delivering individual treatment programmes, ensuring interventions are effective, evidence-based and person-centred.
- Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, identifying patient needs and developing tailored treatment plans.
- Deliver both individual and group interventions, supporting patients throughout their rehabilitation and recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, monitoring progress and adapting interventions where appropriate.
- Take ownership of a defined clinical area, contributing to service development, quality improvement and best practice.
- Provide supervision and support to junior colleagues and students, developing your leadership and mentoring skills.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for patients.
Skills, knowledge & expertise

- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- A Diploma, Degree, Honours Degree or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
- At least three years' post-qualification experience within mental health services.
- Experience completing occupational therapy assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to think critically, reflect on clinical practice and make sound professional judgements.
- A proactive approach to learning, service improvement and personal development.
