Senior Occupational Therapist
Location: Hitchin
Salary: £39,959 - £48,117 per annum DOE
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Brainkind Stagenhoe has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join their dedicated team of healthcare professionals working in a beautiful historical building providing care and slow stream rehabilitation to people with neurological conditions. You will provide an occupational therapy service by assessing, implementing, and evaluating programmes of person-centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
About the role:
- We are looking for someone with a creative and person-centred approach, who can develop treatment and support plans that enhance function and quality of life.
- Opportunities to develop a therapeutic group programme to meet the needs of a wide range of people.
- Leadership of a small team of therapy assistants and activities co-ordinators.
- Opportunity to work with people with a wide range of neurological conditions.
- Opportunity to develop skills and understanding of equipment provision and seating.
- A commitment to continuing professional development and regular supervision.
- Opportunities for peer support from a wider organisation encompassing other OTs and AHP professionals specialising in neurological rehabilitation.

About you:
- Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current and valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- An ability to work autonomously and to set own and support others’ priorities
- Ability to build effective team working relationships and excellent leadership skills
- Desirable experience of working in a relevant setting, which can include practice placements
