East Sutherland Integrated Health & Social Care Team

Senior Occupational Therapist

Full time and part time considered

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the East Sutherland Integrated Health and Social Care Team. This post offers the opportunity for a highly motivated and confident OT to join the team. The role offers experience across both ward and community settings, with a strong enablement focus.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Be registered with the Health Professional Council
  • Have a broad skill mix or the willingness to expand your skill set as is required in a fully integrated Occupational Therapy setting

Key Skills:

  • Effective communication
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Role Details:

Based at Migdale Hospital, Bonar Bridge, you will be expected to work flexibly across East Sutherland at times covering the Lawson Memorial Hospital in Golspie and the surrounding rural community.

  • Regular supervision and support
  • Opportunity to self-develop through the use of an annual appraisal and a personal development plan

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the supervision and day-to-day workload management of Band 4 assistants
  • The department is keen to continue to support student placements

Requirements:

  • A Full UK driving licence is essential and a pool car will be available, however, applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes, if required
