About The Role
Pay & Hours
- Grade 9 SCP 31-35: £41,771–£46,142 pro rata
- Hours of work: 18.5 hours per week
- Working pattern: To be agreed
- Main place of work: Civic Offices, Barry
We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Occupational Therapist to join our forward-thinking social care team. This role is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to lead, influence, and create lasting impact within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
Your responsibility will include:
- Empowering individuals to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes and communities
- Conducing complex moving and handling assessments
- Providing support for major adaptations and specialist equipment provision, driving high-quality, person-centred interventions
About You
Requirements
Essential:
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
- Significant post-qualification experience within social care
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act)
- Confidence in managing complex cases and risk assessments
- Natural leader with strong communication and mentoring skills
- Passion for enabling independence and improving outcomes
