Role

Are you an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in urgent and emergency care?

We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our highly valued Urgent and Emergency Care Therapy Team at King’s Mill Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, helping patients receive the right care at the right time while supporting admission avoidance and facilitating timely, safe discharges.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across urgent care pathways, helping patients access appropriate community services, intermediate care support, and external agencies, while also contributing to reducing hospital length of stay and improving patient outcomes.

Beyond your clinical responsibilities, you will be an integral part of the leadership and development of the service, supporting junior staff and helping to shape future improvements within the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About Us

We are an award-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.
