The Details

This is a role for a Trading Analyst responsible for driving commercial performance through data-driven insights and strategic execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and optimise trading performance by tracking market performance, customer behaviour, and competitor activity.
  • Analyse KPIs (sales, traffic, conversion, etc.) using insights and analytics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including:
    • Digital Trading
    • Planning
    • Pricing
    • Marketing
    • Data Insights
    • Finance to enhance trading effectiveness and customer experience.
  • Prepare high-quality reporting for regional or market performance – daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc deep dives.
  • Lead forecasting for regional and market sales forecasts.
  • Identify trends in under-/over-performing markets, analysing root causes and finding growth opportunities.
  • Support marketing campaigns (both onsite and offsite), promotions, and bespoke market codes.
  • Maintain market intelligence by monitoring local market strategies and e-commerce innovations.
  • Assist the Head of Markets in developing and executing mid-to-long-term strategies.
  • Support P&L management by tracking gross and profit performance across products and markets.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience necessary in retail, e-commerce, marketing analytics, or trade management.
  • Familiarity with: data analysis, forecasting, and strategic decision-making in a commercial environment.
  • Technical skills:
    • Strong Excel & PowerPoint proficiency.
    • Familiarity with SQL and Power BI (or BI tools) is preferred.
  • Essential personal traits:
    • Ability to interpret data, derive actionable insights, and influence stakeholders.
    • Commercial awareness of fashion retail, online business models, and regional market dynamics.
