Role Purpose
The Experienced Buyer will support Ovarro’s procurement and supply chain activities by ensuring the timely, cost-effective and compliant purchase of materials, components, services and consumables required to support operational delivery. The role requires a commercially aware procurement professional who can manage supplier relationships, maintain accurate purchasing data, resolve supply issues and contribute to improved supplier performance, cost control and continuity of supply.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise, manage and expedite purchase orders for direct materials, components, consumables and services in line with business requirements and MRP demand.
- Work closely with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, reliable delivery performance and appropriate commercial terms.
- Monitor open purchase orders, chase acknowledgements, resolve delivery risks and ensure materials are available when required.
- Maintain accurate supplier, purchasing and item data within ERP/MRP systems, supporting clean master data and reliable planning outputs.
- Support supplier onboarding, approval and evaluation activities in line with Ovarro procurement procedures and document control requirements.
